Conservation · Meeting of April 6, 2026
Somerset's Conservation Commission continued a storage-site review and cleared a riverfront garage addition. Conservation Agent Timothy Turner told the board a review fee had just arrived for Somerset Energy Storage LLC's filing on three Riverside Avenue parcels, and the panel voted unanimously to push the matter to May 4. Separately, the commission issued a unanimous negative determination of applicability for a garage, house addition and wraparound porch proposed by applicant Agaro Liakos at 3527 Riverside Avenue, within the Taunton River's 200-foot buffer, conditioned on installing a silt sock near the dwelling.
A project representative said the lot "has been developed for over 50 years," and the commission chair agreed the work "doesn't seem like we need to be there." Members Joseph Duarte, Renee Driscoll and Matthew Talbot were recorded present; minutes from January 27 and March 2 were also approved.
